This is the first time that Finaccord has published a series specifically examining the distribution of commercial non-life insurance across multiple lines of business. The research is compelling, combining market size data from Market³ (Finaccord’s proprietary market size model) with findings from a survey of 992 brokers and underwriters across the ten countries featured in this series.

The report further includes a segmentation of distribution channel share data by customer size, and a comparison of how distribution varies by major product lines and by sub-product between micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the one hand and large / very large customers on the other. Finally, it includes a cross-tabulation of distribution channels:
  • by customer activity (18 categories such as Energy and power, Professional services and Real estate)
  • by the five major product lines
